Merry Christmas 2011

As promised, Team Norris is back in the blogging world. We are officially out of the bomb shelter and breathing fresh air. This is our update/Christmas card all rolled into one irresistible e-morsel.

What a year we've had. The kids made it through their two's in pretty good order. They've learned stuff. Word recognition, counting, some reading, vocabulary, putting sentences together, playing together, it's all been a blur.

Instead of incessant whining and pointing we can now go to 'How do we say it nicely?' and usually squeeze out a please.

We get books read to us now (with storyteller liberties, of course).

There is lots of pretending. Today a rocket ship was made out of Mardi Gras beads, for example.

There is so much to write it's really out of our range to type it...so take our word for it!

In family news, it was a busy year.  Team Norris sold its first homestead and moved into the farm.  All the sweat equity in our first house was worth it for the new setting.

As we get closer to Christmas, the satisfaction of making it through so many changes is sweet.  Here are more pictures to vault us into the new year.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Great update! I'm so impressed that you found the time to get it done. Christmas at Team Norris HQ was great, and I loved being there!
